Blue Ribbon
Swim Team

With an expression among the local communities for an optional non-compete swim team. I put together a program that allowed swimmers the freedom to develop their technique and skill to any level they were willing to work for.

Whether that meant swimming for fun, staying in shape or to qualify for the best-of-the-best times. The Blue Ribbon Swim Team is a place where swimmers can learn and grow themselves in the water, so their confidence can shine outside of it.

It is an honor to help swimmers of all ages overcome challenges and prove to themselves they have what it takes to achieve what they set their minds to. As a coach, I take it upon myself to ensure swimmers come out not only as better athletes, but also as better versions of themselves inside and out.

Blue Ribbon may be going competitive in Fall of 2025, allowing optional swim meet participation!

First Things First: The Fundamentals

No matter where your swimmer starts, I take the time to breakdown the fundamentals and help swimmers understand what makes them keys to success. The purpose behind every movement, and how to facilitate a connection with the water that carries us forward with as little resistance as possible.

Kick, Drill, Swim: The Swimmer's Trinity

What do these all have in common? Utilizing our core to support the muscles in our limbs! What makes swimming such a healthy sport is the engagement of all major muscle groups together while pairing cardio and specific breathing cycles. By bringing mindfulness to how our bodies work, we begin to master drills that drive progress in every stride.

Down to the Second: Dropping Time in a Race

As swimmers find familiarity with these drills, they can begin to experiment to find their unique swim style. Every swimmer is different, and while there are some wrong ways to swim--there are also a few right ways too! Blue Ribbon Swim takes swim team a step further by designing swim sets that allow room and time for swimmers that are looking to gain an edge in the water to do so. While this level of swimming is not required, because it is so fun we have many swimmers inspired to push themselves at this stage!
